The Opportunity - The Ask
The Unitarian Universalist Association is the foundation and the catalyst for the innovative work of UU congregations and communities. To be relevant and make an impact, we must continue to raise expectations, think creatively, experiment, and learn from failures. This year, we hope to launch the NextGen Ministries Initiative to invest in diverse, forward-thinking spiritual communities that will expand access to and increase the influence of Unitarian Universalism in the world. These might include ministries on college campuses, in prisons, nursing homes, the military—or even via food truck! We will be visiting one such cutting edge ministry with the Lucy Stone Cooperative field trip on Saturday.
The President's Council has been at the forefront of UUA innovation since its inception. We will invite your involvement again in this outreach and we will share more information with you about this initiative this weekend. The hope is that you will help us launch the NextGen Ministries Initiative with a $100,000 seed investment.
